Introduces principles and tools of healthcare quality improvement to create process reliability and improve patient outcomes. Students learn measurement, assessment, and continuous improvement methods; team and patient roles; risk assessment, event learning, and strategies to reduce medical errors. The course also examines current and emerging challenges shaping quality and safety practice.
