Catalog description

This course emphasizes evidence-based teaching and learning strategies to meet the individual learning needs of students with exceptionalities and how to use knowledge to solve increasingly complex problems at the secondary level. Specifically, vocabulary (the complex cognitive process of acquisition, tiered vocabulary), comprehension (understanding, finding meaning, inferring), and Fluency (speed, accuracy, proper expression). Concepts are centered around explicit and systematic instruction.
