Historical-critical analysis of selected books from the Hebrew Bible (the Christian Old Testament) and/or the New Testament: their historical and social context, their composition and their meaning to their original audience. Provides an in-depth literary study of the Bible. May be offered concurrently with ENGL 6360. May be repeated once when topics vary.
