Catalog description

This course develops essential mathematics content knowledge and pedagogy for future elementary educators, emphasizing grades 3-5. Topics include number and operation sense, whole-number computation, fraction and decimal concepts, geometry, and algebraic thinking. Students plan instruction, analyze errors, address misconceptions, differentiate for diverse learners, and apply evidence-based strategies through practical activities, assessment, and a clinical experience.
