Catalog description

This course applies economic principles and concepts to health policy issues including the demand and production of health services, health care costs, and healthcare markets. Specific topics include the structure, conduct and performance of private and public health insurance markets. The course also covers briefly economic evaluation methods such as cost-benefit analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, and cost-utility analysis.
