Catalog description

An examination of the role of international institutions in the global marketplace. Topics will include the role of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in international financial markets; the roles of the IMF and the World Bank in stabilization and development strategies; an examination of contemporary trade policy within the context of the World Trade Organization, including the importance of intellectual property rights. The course will rely heavily on case studies.
