Consultation in School Counsel

Catalog description

This course will discuss the various roles of the school counselor in the P-12 school setting. Students will learn effective strategies to consult and to work cooperatively with stake holders in order to maximize student success. The course will cover skills and interventions for assisting students with mental health issues and behavioral disorders using consultation and collaboration models with teachers, students, administrators, other school personnel, and parents.
