Catalog description
This course teaches how to identify, assess, and ethically respond to security vulnerabilities in cyber-systems. Students will learn the techniques and tools to test and secure computer systems, networks, and applications. Topics include footprinting and reconnaissance, scanning, system vulnerabilities, password cracking, social engineering, wireless network testing, and web application attacks. Students will engage in simulated environments and lab exercises to develop hands-on skills.
