Catalog description

Students will learn fundamental cryptographic concepts including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hash functions, digital signatures, and key exchange protocols. The course examines common network security threats and countermeasures, security protocols (TLS/SSL, IPsec), and authentication mechanisms. Through hands-on labs and programming assignments, students will implement basic cryptographic algorithms, analyze their properties, and apply them to solve practical security challenges.
