Catalog description

This course discusses the roles of speech-language pathologists (SLPs) in medical and educational settings. Students will learn to interact as a member of an IPP team, complete medical charts, and perform bedside evaluations. Students will learn to participate in IEP teams, complete referral and eligibility documentation, and corresponding progress notes. The course will address assessment and interventions that meet medical guidelines and navigate potentially unethical situations.
