Catalog description

Introduction to environmental science, focusing on detention, sources and treatment methods of water pollution; air pollution; noise pollution; solid waste; and hazardous waste. Legal and regulatory background also presented. Field trips made and laboratory exercises focus on characterizing water equality. This course includes a required laboratory component. May be taught concurrently with BIOL 4233. Prerequisite BIOL 1020.
