Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the major issues of public health. It is organized into two broad topics: Principles of Public Health and Applications of Public Health. Principles of Public Health covers the ecological model of health, history of public health, controversial issues in public health, social determinants of health, biostatistics, epidemiology, and biomedical sciences. Applications of Public Health covers policymaking, research principles, and movements within public health.
