Catalog description

Students will enhance their knowledge of U.S. federal taxes along with adding knowledge of Alabama state taxes as students study specific areas of the tax law related to low-income taxpayers. This course will provide experiential learning as students participate in tax preparation through SaveFirst, providing free tax preparation for low-income, working families. This course will consist of classroom instruction, tax preparation training, tax certification test, and volunteer tax preparation.
