Catalog description
An overview of the international business environment including economic, political, legal, and cultural aspects, and the institutions that affect a global firm (economic blocs, world banks, the United Nations, etc.). This course surveys managerial techniques used by multinational corporations. Issues related to foreign direct investment, especially financial and accounting implications are also presented, as is the particular impact of globalization on smaller firms. Case discussions are important c omponents of this course. Pre-Requisite: ECON 202
