Final Research Project
Atlantis University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
The Computer Engineering Research Project provides an opportunity for students to carry out a defined piece of independent research or design. These skills include the capacity to define a research or design question, show how it relates to existing knowledge and carry out the research or design in a systematic manner. Students will be expected to define an original research project that demonstrates their prior learning in their Master of Science in Computer Engineering program. The results will be presented in a final project presentation and report. It is not expected that the project outcomes from this course will represent a significant contribution to new knowledge. The course aims to provide students with the opportunity to carry out a defined piece of independent research work in a setting and ma nner that fosters the development of engineering skills in research. The Final Research Project provides an overview of the different research methods that are used in engineering. Students will learn to find and evaluate research on their topic and to present their own research plan or results for evaluation by others. The course will develop a better understanding of what research in engineering is and how it differs from other projects in engineering. Number Name Credits
