Performance Studies

Catalog description

Performance studies focuses on performance as a means to think critically about the power and meaning of performance as a key element of social and cultural life from its origins in sacred rituals to its current form in theater, poetry/spoken word, performance art, dance, concerts, visual and installation art, activism, and social media. As part of this course students have an opportunity to select, interpret, and present various types of performances.
