Catalog description

Using classroom, laboratory/simulation, and clinical experiences, this foundation course prepares students for subsequent nursing courses, professional nursing practice, and the healthcare environment. The nursing process is introduced as a framework to organize and deliver patient-centered care. Throughout the course, emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking, caring, competence, and fundamental nursing skills. Pharmacological principles are introduced and competency is achieved in dosage calculation and medication administration. Program Fee: $756.25
