Early Childhood Care and Education Practicum

Catalog description

This course provides students with the opportunity to participate in a supervised experience at an approved practicum site thus allowing them to demonstrate the techniques obtained from course work. Practicum topics include promoting child development and learning; building family and community relationships; observing, documenting, and assessing to support young children and families; teaching and learning; becoming a professional; and guidance techniques and classroom management. Students must pay an $11 malpractice fee and have a criminal record check completed when registering for this course.
