Sport Analytics

Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the use of data and quantitative methods to measure performance, enhance decision-making, and gain a competitive advantage in the sport arena. Video analysis of sport will also be incorporated into the course in which students will analyze individual and team performance. Students will learn the full analytic life cycle, from data acquisition, producing analytic models, and communication of results. Last, students will learn the importance of AI and how it is utilized in sport.
