Catalog description
This course will focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and evidence-based management of common primary care problems in children. Students will synthesize and translate knowledge from nursing and other disciplines as a framework for clinical judgement, evidence-based practice, and ethical decision making in caring for children in a family nurse practitioner role. Students will complete 200 hours of direct care clinical under the supervision of qualified clinical preceptors and nursing faculty to achieve entry level clinical competency in the family nurse practitioner role.
