Catalog description
This course continues the learner's development of concepts of population health utilizing an epidemiological approach. The learner examines the influence of social determinates of health, the environment and systems to promote population-based health and wellness. Theoretical concepts provide the basis for culturally congruent care strategies to enhance communication and health promotion skills. Simulations are incorporated to enhance safe, quality nursing care in the clinical environment. Learners continue to assess and document their ongoing development and achievement of competencies.
