Catalog description

Where does musical instinct come from? And why do we like the music we do? This course focuses on the articulation and research of musical experience in everyday life. The objective is to equip music students and interested nonmajors with the tools necessary to connect musical vocabulary and performance practice with interpretations of sound and aesthetic preferences as articulated in psychological and scientific literature. Fulfills Core requirements in Aesthetics.
