Catalog description

In this course students will read and understand a significant portion of Euclid's Elements with an eye to understanding the process of deducing results from a set of axioms through rigorous proof. They will also explore compass and straightedge constructions. The study of Euclid's geometry and algebra will be placed in its historical context as well as considering its legacy. Meets Core Math/Logic requirement.
