Catalog description

Oceanography combines geology, biology, chemistry, and physics as a fully integrated introduction to the scientific study of the world oceans. From the structure of the oceans, to their influence on climate change, to the development and evolution of marine life, understanding the oceans' properties and processes is critical to our comprehension of the Earth, stabilization of climate, and the ever-growing human population reliant on its resources. Nowhere else on Earth is the intersection between geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere more important. Meets Core credit for natural sciences.
