This course explores operational leadership in education with a focus on school safety, mental health, and the effective management of facilities. Emphasizing the integration of mental health supports and physical safety measures, principal candidates will analyze tools and frameworks, including those provided by the Ohio School Safety Center and the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. Topics include crisis prevention, school climate, safety planning, facility design, and interagency collaboration. Principal candidates will develop actionable strategies for fostering safe, supportive, and effective learning environments.
