Catalog description

This course explores the techniques and tools used in reverse engineering software and assesses vulnerabilities in systems and applications. Students will learn static and dynamic analysis, binary exploitation, malware analysis fundamentals, and vulnerability scanning. Emphasis is placed on ethical and legal considerations, responsible disclosure, and defensive applications of reverse engineering. Hands-on labs and projects will provide experience with disassemblers, debuggers, and vulnerability assessment frameworks.
