Catalog description
This course introduces the principles and applications of modern cryptography as used in cybersecurity. Students will learn about classical ciphers, symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing, digital signatures, key exchange, and cryptographic protocols. The course emphasizes practical applications of cryptography in securing data, networks, cloud environments, and digital communications. Hands-on labs will allow students to apply cryptographic tools and techniques to real-world scenarios.
