Intro to Graduate Studies in Communication

Catalog description

This course will focus on the development of skills necessary for graduate study in communication. Students will be introduced to the discipline of strategic communication from both theoretical and applied standpoints. The philosophy of communication theory building will be explored with an emphasis on theory testing, application, and modification. The course will provide students with an introduction to the culture and expectations of the Master of Arts in Strategic Communication and Leadership (MASCL) graduate program, related theoretical literature, and graduate level APA writing skills.
