Catalog description
A study of the history of the liberal arts from ancient Greece to the present, with particular attention to the disciplines of classical learning: the trivium (grammar, logic, and rhetoric) and quadrivium (arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy). Students will consider the development of these liberal arts and their relationship to the good life and a free society.
