Principles of Toxicology

Catalog description

This course will focus on the basic principles of toxicology, the study of poisons. Topics covered include molecular and cellular sites of action of toxicants, carcinoginesis, and teratology, as well as physiological effects of toxicants on the nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, immune system, and other organ systems. The actions of environmental toxicants on ecological systems will also be explored. Offered each fall.
