Catalog description

The first in a two-course series on human anatomy and physiology. The course encompasses the anatomical and physiological body functions. It includes basic anatomical and directional terminology; fundamental concepts and principles of cell biology; histology, the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, special senses, and endocrine systems as they pertain to the clinical setting. Students will use models, tissue slides and the dissection of cadavers during lab periods. Meets Core credit for natural science. Offered every semester.
