An introduction to basic welding techniques, equipment, tools, materials, safety, and various employment opportunities in the field. Students will gain knowledge and skills in hands-on performance to unite and separate metal parts by heating, using a variety of techniques and equipment. Students are prepared for employment in various industries, such as construction, fabrication, plant maintenance, the automotive industry, and more. Emphasis of this course will be the use of gas tungsten are welders.
