An introduction to basic welding techniques, equipment, tools, materials, safety, and various employment opportunities i the field. Students will gain knowledge and skills in hands-on performance to untie and separate metal parts by heating, using a variety of techniques and equipment. Students are prepared for employment in various industries, such as construction, fabrication, plant maintenance, the automotive industry, and more. Emphasis of this course will be the use of shielded metal arc welders.
