Nursing Process III

Catalog description
This course includes the principles and practices of nursing care such as prenatal and postnatal care, labor and delivery, neonatal assessment, common pediatric conditions, and growth and development milestones. Emphasis is placed on family-centered care, reinforcement of client education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers, infants, and children. Behaviors of well and sick children are included and the guidelines of being a mandated reporter. The clinical experience will give the students an opportunity to continue the application of the nursing process to clients in various OB and pediatric facilities. Prerequisite: Successful completion of all first semester of PNUR courses.
