Introduction to Business

Catalog description

This survey course is an introduction to business as a profession. It provides an overview of management in organizations, leadership, human resources, financial management, accounting, production, and marketing and social responsibility. Students will be introduced to the various dimensions of business which will help them to identify areas of study that are of particular personal interest. Students will be exposed to many emerging technologies utilized by and impacting the business world. Professional communication skills and practices, problem solving, ethical and legal issues, and effective presentation skills will be covered. F, S
