Phlebotomy Practicum

Catalog description

This course is taught through laboratory, and clinical experiences. Students will learn to perform a variety of blood collection methods using proper techniques and precautions including vacuum collection devices, syringes, capillary skin puncture, butterfly needles, and finger sticks or heel sticks for young children and infants. Non-blood specimen collection practices are also covered. Internship/Practicum. Ozark Malpractice Fee: $16; Ozark Allied Health Fee: $65.
