The chemistry of metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins. Basic concepts of the biochemistry of DNA, vitamins, enzymes, biological oxidations, and bioenergetics with introduction to biochemical laboratory techniques. Lecture three hours, laboratory three hours.
