Catalog description

A continuation of the study of the Shielded Metal Arc Welding process. This course will cover welding of structural shapes, identification, and selection of filler metal. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to set up SMAW equipment and produce welds on carbon steel in all positions, using all applicable filler metal groups in accordance with AWS entry-level welder standards. Prerequisite: WELD1303 Introduction to SMAW.
