Advanced Wire Welding

Catalog description

A continued study of the Gas Metal Arc Welding process. This course will cover transfer modes, shielding gas selection, filler metal selection, process advantages, and disadvantages, print reading, and fabrication of parts. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to set up and operate the GMAW welding processes and produce welds in all applicable materials and positions in accordance with AWS entry-level welder standards. Prerequisite: WELD1203 Gas Metal Arc Welding.
