Catalog description

This course focuses on intensive work on the basic strategies, organization, diction, and grammar of the collegiate essay through the use of readings to improve vocabulary, comprehension skills, critical thinking skills, and writing competency. Students with an ACT score of 14 - 16 in English and Reading must take this course before enrolling in ENG1003 Composition I. NOTE* The course credits do not count toward any degree but may be required as a pre- requisite for college credit-bearing courses.
