Catalog description

A survey of biology to include an introduction to the fundamental principles of living organisms including properties, organization, function, evolutionary adaptation, and classification. Introductory study of concepts of reproduction, genetics, ecology, and the scientific method are included. Not appropriate for biology or health science majors. Lab required. Corequisite: BIOL1001 Biological Science Lab. ACTS Equivalency: BIOL1004 Biology for Non-Majors.
