Catalog description

Teaches the basic knowledge and skills required to operate Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) equipment, function safely in the welding shop and develop basic TIG welding techniques. Students study welding nomenclature, design of welding joints and practice welding beads in the flat, horizontal, vertical up, and overhead positions. A grade of “C” or better is required before a student may advance to WELD 14304 Intermediate Gas Tungsten Arc Welding.
