Catalog description

Teaches the basic knowledge required to operate shielded metal arc welding equipment, function safely in the welding shop and develop basic welding techniques. Requires students study welding nomenclature, design of welding joints, electrode classification and practice fillet welds in the flat and horizontal position. A grade of “C” or better is required before a student may advance to WELD 11004.
