Catalog description

Introduces fundamental electrical quantities and the relationships among voltage, current, resistance, and power. Topics include standard, scientific, and engineering notations, resistive circuitry, electrical laws, and theorems. Examines application, the proper use of circuit troubleshooting techniques using analog voltohm milliammeter (VOM) and digital multimeter (DMM). A grade of “C” or better is required before a student may advance to TECH 15104 AC Electronics. Prerequisite or Co-requisite: MATH 10133 or higher-level math course or consent of instructor.
