Students will focus on current trends in mental health, therapeutic relationships, nursing knowledge of psychiatric concepts and diagnosis, mental status and behavior assessments, health promotion and managing care for the psychiatric client. Pharmacological with complementary and alternative treatment will be incorporated into the learning experiences.
