Catalog description
Provides clinical opportunities through a preceptorship to care for patients with complex health needs. Incorporates pathophysiology, pharmacotherapeutics, monitoring and interventions required in management of patients in acute and unstable conditions. Integrates standards of nursing practice in delivery of care to patients and their support systems. Clinical reasoning and judgment is emphasized to assist the learner in integrating and applying knowledge to improve health outcomes while meeting spiritual and cultural needs. Application of the concepts learned in the course occurs within the context of the clinical practicum.
