Catalog description

Develops modern concepts of matter and energy and how this development is related to the social order of which man is a part. (This course does not satisfy science certification for secondary school teachers. It is not accepted as a major requirement in a natural science field. However, elementary education majors must take this course to meet state certification requirements.) Lecture three hours, lab two hours per week. Prerequisite: MATH 03163 with a passing grade or ACT Mathematics score of 19 or above.
