Catalog description
Studies quadratic equations and inequalities; polynomial, rational exponential, and logarithmic functions; graphing functions, combining functions, inverse functions; solving systems of linear and nonlinear equations; and use of matrices and determinants. Emphasis on applications and problem solving. (No credit given if taken following MATH 13004). Prerequisite: Required placement score or a grade of “C” or better in MATH 0143 or a grade of “C” or better in MATH 03163 or grade of “B” or better in MATH 03163 or grade of “B” or better in High School Algebra II or Higher-Level High School Math within the last two years.
