Catalog description

Introduces the lathe machine, mill and surface grinder. Students are taught the fundamentals of shop safety and skills associated with the operation of a lathe machine, mill and surface grinder for metal removal processes. Allows students to demonstrate advanced skills through the development of an independent or group project. Topics also include unit analysis, algebra, probability, blueprint reading and right triangle trigonometry. Prerequisite or Co-requisite: MSTE 10053 and MSTE 14054.
