Sem. Hrs: 3 This is a course designed to survey popular psychotherapy theories, emphasizing evidence-based practice. Throughout the course, students will learn about framing therapeutic encounters and practice interviewing skills necessary for PMHNP practice. Opportunities to develop advanced practice skills include mock interviews. Restricted to Master of Science in Nursing-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Concentration program.
